Look, look!
We engaged in a trial run of the official drink of the Preakness, the Black-Eyed Susan, whilst sojourning in D.C. My beloved BIL, the editor of the Washington Post's Sunday Source section, was putting together an article on Pimlico and needed some willing guinea pigs to drink the drink.
And my Darling Sweetie took photos. And here is the sidebar (including recipe) to the official article, as seen in today's Post:
Black-Eyed Susan
Nice photo credit, hm?
'Tis a yummy drink, by the by. If you're looking for a pleasant way to while away a Sunday afternoon--and, unlike us, you live in a state sufficiently enlightened to allow the purchase of spirits on the Lord's Day--stir up a batch of these babies. They don't taste alcoholic, but I can vouch that they are.
I'm going to have to try that one. I fortunately live in a state were spirits can be purchased on Sundays...I have a feeling these will spend considerable amount of time on our patio this summer. Thanks!

Way cool, you go James Newman! The Washington Post, no less. My best has been the Coulee News, lol.
